We carry out research into all aspects of UK schools, including Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form.

We talk to school leaders, teachers, parents and pupils and we maintain our own Teacher Research Panel so that we can recruit teaching professionals to take part in our research.

  • Interviewing secondary school Heads of Departments about their curriculum requirements
     

  • Running an online discussion panel with teenage girls to understand more about their experiences of dealing with menstruation at school (for the Department for Education)
     

  • Interviewing secondary school teachers about their CPD needs
     

  • Talking to primary school leaders about their staffing issues and understanding of apprenticeship options when employing teaching assistants
     

  • Interviewing parents about their decision-making process for choosing a school, for a leading independent school
     

  • Evaluation work for the Institute of Physics and Association of Science Education - including focus groups, surveys and interviews with teachers and pupils
     

  • Focus groups with primary school teachers about approaches to teaching phonics for a publisher
     

  • Running an online discussion panel with primary school leaders and teachers to understand their communication and support preferences, for BBC Learning
     

  • Conducting impact evaluations for several school competitions and interventions, including talking to teachers and pupils
